Group Coaching

What's group coaching all about?

Sometimes when people share experiences especially when learning new things or trying to brainstorm new ideas, the collective is a much more fertile avenue to marvelous results. When people come together to share collective experience and to work on an issue or area of interest, the results are often outstanding and go well beyond what the individual can do alone. The group coaching experience is just that, people coming together to share and learn new ways to get to their goals.

How does group coaching work?

You meet via telephone at designated times, usually twice a month for 60 minutes with other folks around the country who come together to work on a specific problem area. You are facilitated by a coach in the area the group designates as a priority for change. You pay a monthly fee for services and long distance phone charges per call.

What groups can I join?

The following are just a few of the groups in which you can choose to participate. If you have an idea for a group and you have a few folks who would want to join you, let me know and we can talk about getting that group started.

I Will Survive: Parenting Teenagers
Just a Kid: Parenting Children with Chronic Illnesses
School Counselors Survival Group
Women in Transition after Fifty
Fulfilling My Dream: Spouses of Physicians

Why should I choose you as my group coach?

My major area of concentration in my doctoral program was group work. I have run many groups in a hospital, in my community, for organizations, for support networks, in school settings, and in my private practice. As an adjunct professor, I taught the course in group procedures to graduate students at a university. I believe in working hard in groups and also in having fun and making learning and growing a joyful time.
